When there were no refrigerators for long-term storage of cheese, and our ancestors soaked cheese in oil. For the biggest gourmets, we cut the finest cheeses into delicious cubes and dip them in precious olive oil. We cut Livanjski sheep and goat cheese into triangles, sticks and cubes and place them in containers of different sizes, where the cheese dipped in olive oil is perfectly mixed and kissed with oil, giving us a fantastic taste and aroma.
Livanjski cheese is a local specialty and one of the most famous cheeses, particularly popular in neighboring Dalmatia. A hard cheese Livanjski cheese made from cow's milk, goat's milk or a combination of cow's and goat's milk. Livanjski sir is yellow in color, aged for 80 days, with a typical feta cheese aroma, spicy, walnut aroma and slightly salty. Livanjski cheese is only produced in a limited geographical area and therefore in limited quantities. The milk comes from the local Pramenka sheep, which is very common in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The vegetation and climatic conditions of the mountains make Livanjski cheese a true specialty.
